Unbeatable Outdoor Sound with Landscape Speakers and Burial Subwoofers
The Situation: Great Indoor Audio but No Music Outside
At Entertainment Pros, we take pride in providing our clients with the best audio and visual solutions for their homes. Recently, we had the pleasure of upgrading the electronics and control system in a client's home theater. We installed a Yamaha RX-A6 receiver, a Samsung QLED 75" TV, Cool Components cooling fans, APC and Panamax surge suppressors, and a URC MX990 RF remote. A URC MRF350 Radio Frequency module allowed everything to be controlled behind closed doors. We also checked the distributed audio music in 16 inside rooms. Now, our clients had a beautiful home with an upgraded theater and distributed music but something was missing. There was no music outside by the pool or in the newly added downstairs gym.
The Challenge: Symmetrical Coach Lights
In the downstairs gym we added two Speakercraft OE8 Three speakers to provide great sound. But the pool level walls of the home had several coach lights installed symmetrically around the entire lanai. If we were to install traditional outdoor speakers on those walls it would have seriously detracted the beauty of the home. That's when we came up with a solution that delivered high quality sound throughout their entire outdoor area.
The Solution: Landscape Speakers and Burial Subwoofers
Two landscape speakers and 1 burial subwoofer hidden on each side of the pool perimeter landscaping provided the solution. Burial grade landscape wire was run from inside the garage to where the speakers and subwoofers would be located. Two SpeakerCraft SC-BT-10 Boom Tomb burial subwoofers and
(4) SpeakerCraft SC-OG-6, 2-way landscape speakers were installed. The system was driven with a Crown CDi2/600 amplifier with Digital Sound Processing, (DSP) to set the bass, treble, output and crossover levels to make this system sound its best.
The Result: Incredible, Full Range Sound
Our clients now have incredible, full range sound throughout their entire pool and lanai area, along with the ability to adjust their bass, treble, and volume to levels to tailor it for their mood or event!
