In previous posts, we have shown wiring cleanups we have done for some of our clients. From a mass of messy, tangled wires behind a one room surround sound cabinet, to extremely overcrowded structured wiring cabinets in condos or larger homes, Entertainment Pros has seen and dealt with it all.
Basically, an input feed of coaxial cable (called the "Demark" & usually provided by the cable company), is run into a residence from an outside location to a location on the inside. This coaxial cable brings the signal in for your cable and network. From this central point, most, or all of the other cables supplying signals to the other rooms in the home are run.
This infrastructure location is where many trades quickly install or make their own changes with no regard to the functionality or appearance to any other existing wiring or equipment, and after just a few changes it is a wiring catastrophe which often causes embarrassment to the homeowner.
Wiring cleanup is a daunting task to many installers and should be undertaken by someone who is comfortable in this area and has a pretty good understanding of what they are doing, so all of your cable feeds and network will not be rendered useless.
Entertainment Pros enjoys the challenge of organizing these wiring catastrophes. Once the input & the outputs are identified, we use wire-ties or velcro to run the unneeded wires along the sides. Then the needed wires can be labeled, cut to similar length then re-connected to the correct network switch. We also verify which devices produce a radio frequency signal, like home WiFi, so these are not installed inside a metal cabinet which will wreck the signal.
If your wiring chaos has you all tangled up, stop worrying about it and let Entertainment Pros straighten it out. Give us a call 727-804-2277 or visit our
