Upgrade Your Summer Entertainment

Florida summers—they can be hot, miserable, overwhelming, and nearly timeless—hoping your home air conditioning doesn't give out.

Or, they can be your favorite time of the year. It all depends on your perspective.

Up your summer entertainment game. Whether you have a house on the water, a palatial estate with acres of land, or a standard 1/3-acre lot in a subdivision like the majority of us, there are things you can do to enjoy your space and increase its entertainment value with TVs, outdoor speakers, and subwoofers.

Transform Your Outdoor Space into an Entertainment Oasis

What you can do differently so this blisteringly hot summer becomes your favorite time of year. How about a family movie night, floating in the pool, watching a movie on your outdoor rated TV with immersive speakers and a subwoofer to rival an inside theater? This scene seemed impossible with the outdoor audio/video systems of the past, which often meant settling for a cast-off TV that needed to be brighter to watch the game during the daytime and a pair of tinny speakers with no bass.

Not anymore; our outdoor systems consist of daylight-rated TVs that can handle indirect or even direct rain, speakers around the perimeter of your area so it is truly immersive, and outdoor subwoofers that add the full bass you may have yet to realize you were missing. The old TV and a Bluetooth speaker can't even begin to compare. Add a couple of cooling fans to move some air or float in the pool while having drinks with friends, listening to music, watching a movie, or catching the game—a perfect way to cap off a hectic work week.

State-of-the-Art Outdoor Entertainment Systems by Entertainment Pros

Entertainment Pros can provide you with one of several brands of outdoor-rated televisions, weatherproof speakers, and subwoofers powered by pro-quality amplifiers. We install our systems using heavy-gauge burial wiring to ensure a trouble-free and lasting installation. The system can be controlled by a handheld remote or your phone to adjust the volume and song playlist.

Bright and Durable: Our Weather-Rated TVs

Weather-rated TVs like the Sunbrite line or the Terrace by Samsung are available in increased brightness models that are viewable during the daytime, which requires much more light output than standard televisions when competing with the sun. These models can also be rated for outdoor, covered use (under your patio roof, but still suitable for our humidity) or full rain models, which are designed to

live their lives outside in direct rain.

Outdoor Landscape-Style Speakers for the Ultimate Sound Experience

Some of us have a patio area with a wall to attach outdoor bookshelf speakers, which can provide excellent sound (the sound is directed towards us from the solid wall), but if you don't have this, we frequently employ landscape speakers. We take care of running the 12 gauge wiring around your property and installing the speakers, which are dark brown like many landscape lights and pool cages. These speakers aren't tied to a wall-mounting location as previously required and can provide excellent sound while hidden in the shadows of your existing landscaping. This allows the speakers to be placed in their best location, not just where you have an existing wall.

The Game-Changing Outdoor Subwoofers

Outdoor subwoofers are the biggest addition to your outdoor system, providing the low, full bass that was never available before. These subwoofers are designed to be buried in your landscaping, but we have provided other options to increase the bass to you and your family and friends while keeping it away from your neighbors. The enriched bass is THE way to improve an existing system, and we pair the subwoofer with a Crown amplifier to provide the power for the subwoofer to do its job.

The Crown CDi 2/600 amplifiers have built-in DSP (Digital Sound Processing) to send the only the low frequencies to the subwoofer (subwoofers can't play high notes, but mid frequencies can muddy the sound coming out), and the amp sends only the mid/high frequencies to the landscape speakers, so the bass doesn't blow them out, which will happen if a smaller speaker tries to reproduce frequencies too low.
